A bit about me

My name is Paul and I've lived in Long Ashton since 1992, I met my (now) wife, Carole, in 1989 and we ended up buying a house 9 doors away from where she was brought up, we now have two fantastic kids aged 9 and 4.

Dog Walking is a new venture for me but please don't let that put you off, it's something that I have wanted to do for many years. I'm a genuine bloke. I have been running my own HGV Transport Company since Oct 2007 but I lost my HGV licence a couple of years ago as my eyesight isn't good enough to drive heavy vehicles anymore, but I am ok to drive cars/vans/smaller lorries and motorbikes. I sold one lorry in December 2016 as the guy that bought it was willing to keep the driver in a job which was really important to me as he'd been with me for 6 years, I still have one lorry working, the same driver has been on that truck for about 4 years. For the last 5 years approx, (up to when I lost my licence) I was covering nights on the lorry but the work was inconsistent, some weeks I would work one night, other weeks I would work all week but that suited me as it meant I could catch up on paperwork, when I was on days, I was working about 60 hours per week on the truck plus fitting paperwork in so I was happy doing less hours on nights.  Losing my licence wasn't totally unexpected so I decided to take some time out as I was 45 at the time and my Daughter had not gone off to school so I was happy to spend lots of time enjoying that, I had missed out on that with my Son when I had my licence as I was working silly hours at the time. When my youngest went off to school, I signed on with a couple of agencies for some driving jobs and most of my work through them has been at Bristol Airport and Royal Portbury Dock but Dog Walking was always there in my mind and I really want to give it a go.

Hobbies consist of family stuff/cycling/photography

Apologies if that was totally boring but I felt like I needed to tell you a bit about me
